Three of the videos made by the inmates during the 2006 Wandsworth Prison project, won Koestler awards. These are arts awards for serving prisoners. For more information about the Koestler Trust: http://www.koestlertrust.org.uk/index.html.
INSIDE FILM participated in a conference at the British Film Institute in December 2007. The conference explored the relationship between television news and young people. Two groups of young people were given the task of each making a short video about the conference. One was in the style of a conventional BBC style news report. The other was done in a more independent alternative style. Inside Film worked on the latter project.
The videos can be seen on the conference webpage at: http://arts.brunel.ac.uk/gate/tvnewsconference
INSIDE FILM is running a 5 month course from Goldsmiths College.
Thanks to Art Saves Lives and Open book for making this happen.
We will be discussing the project at the Living British Cinema Forum at Queen Marys University at 5.30 on the 10th May. We hope that some of the current students will be coming along too.
